Somerset Global Games Challenge
The Somerset Global Games Challenge project led by the Somerset
Activity and Sports Partnership (SASP), will play a key role in
actively engaging Somerset primary schools in the 2012 agenda and
providing opportunities for pupils to take part in 2012 inspired
activities.
Awarded the London 2012 Inspire mark in August 2010, SASP
coaches will be engaging schools and pupils in the excitement of
2012 by running 2012 themed assemblies and supporting schools and
pupils in staging their own mini-Games and sporting
challenges. Supporting this project is a resource document
offering a cross curricular learning experience with ideas,
suggestions and guides for both class room and physical activity
learning sessions; all inspired by the Games, their history and
outstanding sporting performances.
