TEAM WILTSHIRE

The London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games provided Wiltshire with a unique opportunity to create a lasting and beneficial legacy for local communities.

A wide range of organisations worked in partnership to ensure Wiltshire made the very most of the unique opportunity.

The aim was to ensure the 2012 Games helped to promote economic development and tourism, sporting and physical activities, health and wellbeing, volunteering and cultural life.

Events in 2012 included Firegarden at Stonehenge in July and the WOW Fit women’s activity programmea cross the county in June.
