TOURISM

The South West is the jewel in the crown of the UK's tourism industry, attracting over 26 million visitors each year. The London 2012 Games will provide a global showcase for the region's spectacular scenery and stunning destinations with national and international attention focused on us as the Olympic Torch Relay visits every county in the region.  The region will come under the spotlight again when the London 2012 sailing events take place in Dorset.   It is anticipated that this focus will result in us attracting significantly more visitors not just during the Games, but also before and after.

Tourism2012Games.org is a  free resource for anyone who works in hospitality, leisure or tourism and wants to get involved with the London 2012 Games. The site – co-published by VisitBritain and London 2012 – has loads of useful information about visitors likely to come to the Games and how to reach them. Also included is information about how to prepare your business and some great tools and products from 2012 Games official partners.
